One of the most commonly used and effective ways in teaching traditional values is by the use of tales. Tales such as "The Emperor’s New Clothes" by Hans Christian Anderson and "The Frog Prince" by The Brothers Grimm have been told and retold thousands of times to illustrate and teach children good, traditional values. It is such a practice that makes it possible to pass the values on to the next generation and the next.
The teaching of these values helps keep the society alive and well. Teaching values is a responsibility that falls upon the shoulders of adults (role models)--especially parents, teachers, and society leaders.
The stories in this book- are our attempt to make a contribution in helping to teach future generations some of the traditional values (kindness, friendship, sharing, humbleness, among others) that we grew up with and hold close to our hearts. When these values are taught and learned, we are rewarded--our hearts sing. Hearts will also sing for those who benefit from our teaching.
Let us work together to promote and teach good traditional values.
